Save the Mountain — A petition to make 96.5 WDOD-FM Chattanooga not suck

Now that 96.5 is a top 40 station, there is officially nothing on the radio in Chattanooga that I want to listen to. Rock 105 is close, but there’s too much grrr rock (the stuff that’s just banging on instruments and growling into a mic). I don’t want to hear the same classics over and over again like KZ-106. Jack is just too random with a mix of 50/50 good-to-crap ratio. 96.5 was my last hope of decent music, and it’s gone to the top 40 crap.

Sign the Petition to hopefully bring it back!

Oh that sucks! It was the only good station up there (I moved to Savannah 7 months ago)! Well, if you liked the 90s at 9 (like I did) Fat Kid is doing all 90s from 4-6 on Thursdays (starting next week). That’s the closest I can think of to the old Mountain.

    Radio…what’s that?

fat kid is trolling blogs looking for listeners by plugging his college radio show. desperate times indeed….

Everytime I skip over to 96.5 I don’t really notice that much of a change. Just less Sublime. Granted I did hear “Baby Got Back” twice a few hours apart which is just overkill.

I heard FatKid plugging a radio show on Chattanooga State’s 91.5 today. But then I’ve heard rumors that 91.5 is soon going to be Internet-only, so that will take all the good stations off the air. I was pretty impressed with The Mountain because they weren’t afraid to play new music. This new station is just horrible. There’s no continuity at all!
