I had the same problem in 10.7 but can confirm droid&#039;s answer is correct in the later versions of OS X.

		<description>I&#039;m sure they&#039;ve fixed it by now.  In 2008, that option may not have existed.  It was OS X 10.3 or 10.4 at the time.</description>

		<description>Not sure if this will work but it seems there is an advanced button in the Bluetooth preferences to turn off the searching for input devices when one isn&#039;t present.

It may be a better way to fix the issue instead of moving Core System files.</description>
